Memorial Day Weekend is a bittersweet holiday for me. My dad passed away on Memorial Day Weekend two years ago. I already knew that this weekend would be tough. Little did I know that, we would receive the call we had been waiting for.
We finally heard this weekend that Danielle, the birthmother due in August, chose our profile and asked to meet us. We were beyond excited to receive this news especially on this holiday. We are scheduled to meet her TOMORROW at 4 p.m. We're so nervous and anxious to meet the possible birthmother of our child. Cindy from New Life, mentioned she kept saying on Wednesday, she really liked this profile (ours). Cindy told her she had to review all the profiles before making a decision. The great news is Cindy said Danielle sounded the most confident she had ever heard since working with her.
Everyone keeps asking if she's having a boy or a girl, we don't know. Hopefully we will find out tomorrow. She has a doctor's appointment in the morning, so we hope it will come up!
Levi and I both feel in our heart of hearts that it's a girl, but it could be a boy. Either way, we will be thrilled to bring the little one home and love them forever.
Keep in mind that it has been 62 days since we placed a call to New Life! Only God could make this process go as fast and as smoothly as it has. We give Him all the glory!
